Thursday, 26 January: Prepare a short presentation about your attitudes to reading ("My attitude to reading"). Do you read books? magazines? newspapers? comics? Do you only read for school? When do you read? What English books have you read so far (so far = jusqu'à maintenant) etc. 

 

Friday, 20 January:  Take CHF 14.- to class for the book we'll read in the near future (Oliver Twist). Workbook p. 32: do all the activities and give long answers.

 

Thursday, 19 January: Student's Book p. 46 + 47: study and do the exercises.

Friday, 2 DecemberWorkbook p. 27: Do exercises 1, 2 and 3 in your workbook but write exercise 4 on a separate sheet which allows you to give in your language biography. Your teacher is going to correct it. He will assess (évaluer) some texts. (He will draw 5 students at random; these students will certainly get points for their writing. If other students wish to be assessed, they can tell their teacher and he'll do it.) The part "Developing Writing" on page 41 in your Student's Book will help you do this homework well. 

 

Thursday, 1 December: SB page 40: Prepare activities 1 - 8, writing some key words into your exercise book for exercises 1 and 2. Listen to file 1.22 on the Gateway web page (Class Audio).

How to prepare this test:

  • Revise or learn vocabulary units 1 and 2
  • Revise or study the grammar of these two units in your Student's Book, in your Workbook (do exercises and compare with the key [corrigé] that you find on educanet2..
  • Finally test yourself on the Internet, on the Gateway web site. http://www.gateway-online.net/gateway/page/TheCourse (If you are not registered yet: click on "Log in" , then "Join Gateway Online". Now complete your registration with the key at the end of your Student's Book.)
